Overview

AG1 (formerly Athletic Greens) is the supplement that colonised every podcast ad break for three years running. 75 vitamins, minerals, and whole-food sourced ingredients in a single daily scoop. At $99/month on subscription, it’s one of the most expensive greens powders on the market. After 60 days of daily use — including baseline and follow-up bloodwork — here’s the unfiltered verdict.

What’s Actually Inside

The 75-ingredient blend includes a solid multivitamin foundation, a prebiotics and probiotics blend (7.2 billion CFU), adaptogens, digestive enzymes, and a range of whole-food extracts. The full formula is disclosed, which is more than many competitors offer. The Vitamin C dose (600mg) is notably high; B12 and zinc are well above RDA.

The taste is pleasant — a mild, slightly sweet green flavour that mixes cleanly with water.

60-Day Results

Energy levels subjectively improved in weeks two and three, though separating this from sleep improvements during the same period is impossible. Digestion was noticeably smoother — attributed to the prebiotic/probiotic stack and the digestive enzymes. Bloodwork at day 60 showed B12 at the high end of normal range (was mid-range at baseline) and Vitamin D slightly elevated.

No significant changes to inflammation markers or iron levels.

AG1 is a high-quality, well-formulated product. The value question is legitimate: at $99/month, a quality multivitamin + separate probiotic + vitamin D supplement achieves a comparable result for a fraction of the cost. If convenience is worth the premium to you, AG1 delivers. If you want to optimise per dollar, build your own stack.
